The Gîtes

Set high on a hill, these two beautiful gîtes have been newly converted from a chai, originally a wine store, built around 1850. They are surrounded by vineyards and overlook the town of Cadillac in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region, and only 30 minutes drive south from the town of Bordeaux. The picturesque village of St. Emilion is 35 kilometres away. The area is also popular for cycling, walking, painting as well as wine tasting. The beautiful Atlantic coast is less than 1 hour away.

Apart from the long hot summers, the weather in spring and autumn can also be a lovely time of year in this region. The sight of hundreds of Cranes flying over in V formation as they migrate north in early March is a sure sign that spring is on the way, and the autumn colours of the trees and vines in late October can be quite spectacular.

Both gîtes accommodate 4 people. Rentals are normally from Saturday to Saturday. Long stays and mini breaks welcome (except in high season), prices on application.
Each gîte has its own private terrace with extensive views. A table and chairs and BBQ are provided (on each terrace) for al fresco eating. The first gîte has morning sunshine, and the second has evening sun. There are also several other seating areas around the building for visitors to sit, relax and enjoy the views. Inside, the stone walls keep the spaces cool in summer, and the central heating keeps them warm in winter.

The accommodation in each gite consists of an open plan ground floor with living/dining and kitchen area. There is a TV, DVD, radio and CD. The kitchen is complete with all modern appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. On the first floor there are two twin bedded rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

There is a swimming pool, and terraced area with sun loungers, chairs and sunshades.
All linen is provided, except pool towels
